jammed. I don’t think it will be easy to take apart the retractor gearing assembly while still mounted in the car. I’d suggest pulling the antenna up as far as possible, cutting antenna base as close to body of car as possible, remove the motor/retractor assembly inside the car (getting rid of remaining retractor plastic ribbon ) then collapse the antenna, insert into the hole and silicon glue into place. The slightly tricky part i think is re-using the original rod barrel and finish nut that’s part of the antenna assembly. Seems once you get it all apart it won’t be that hard to make it work. The retractor assembly will need to be remounted into car since that’s how the whole thing fits together.
